This is a cactus in Judy's sunroom. I wonder if it blooms every year, or maybe its just blooming this once, because Judy is in Spain, and it is fitting that while away some miracle is happening at home.

well it's true, i never would have seen this flowering cactus if Judy didn't go to Spain. i hear they have the potential at least, to bloom annually. but that depends on the plant receiving a healthy mix of sunlight and darkness in balanced combination. so many things from the angle of the sun, to the placement of the plant on the windowsill can affect the bloom potential, so it does look to be a miracle in any case. interesting that it bloomed near Passover too. only time will tell the fate of this flower.
